Question

Asked by: Link S.
Subject: stability
Question: Here is an interesting question,

Say you have a gyroscope that is rotationally stable around its axis and self contained in a zero gravity environment with some connection to the outer wall of the environment.

Would it be possible to keep a linear object afloat off the ground if at least one point of the gyroscope or the linear object (Like a board) has an anchoring on the ground? If so what would keep it in that hovering position?
