Question

Subject: Hi
Question: Time and precession
You may have wondered as I once did, how long can precession last. Consider that if a super gyro could and was rotating at 100,000 Rpms. Further, assume that its pivot was supported by electromagnetics, further that it was encased in a vacuum chamber. Still, it must descend no matter how slowly, because though the energy to power precession comes from gravity, it is the movement toward gravity that transfers power. If the gyro cannot descend at all then the power cannot be transferred. You probably knew this but the question long ago once interested me.

All is quiet on the Western front ‘not much happening around here.
